ABOUT US

Acasta Europe Limited is fully regulated and authorised by the Financial Conduct Authority and works exclusively with Acasta European Insurance Company who provide insurance facilities to clients throughout the UK and continental Europe since 2006. Our partners include retail insurance brokers, insurance wholesalers, MGA’s, solicitors, claims management companies, third party administrators and warranty providers.

In addition, we are among the market leaders in ATE legal expenses insurance. Over the last 10 years we have been at the forefront of adapting our ATE policies to meet the challenges to claimants and lawyers that have arisen following legislative changes such as LASPO. During 2014 we secured an arrangement with a provider of litigation funding to support actions that were in need of funding to progress.

In the wider insurance market we offer a range of ‘off the shelf’ products that can be processed through our online portal including a wide range of excess protection insurances, comprehensive GAP cover, landlords legal protection with optional rent guarantee, family legal protection, key care, motor breakdown and home emergency insurance for residential properties including rented homes.

We also underwrite a range of specialist facilities in the UK. These products include Warranty Programmes (motor, brown and white goods, furniture and industrial machinery), Surety and Bond cover, Latent Defect insurance, Decennial, Dommage Ouvrage, Dental Implant insurance and specialist property schemes.

Since 2011 we have worked with and on behalf of Acasta European Insurance company on insurance underwriting programmes throughout Europe including Germany, France, Poland, the Czech Republic, Spain, Slovenia and are happy to consider products in these and other European countries.

A solicitor by profession, David joined the Acasta team with a wealth of experience, both in the legal expenses market and in private practice managing his own business. He also specialised in providing advice to the legal services industry.
KEITH WARDELL

MANAGING DIRECTOR

Keith has been in the insurance industry since 1975 and became an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute in 1980. He became Chairman of Acasta in 2012 and has led its drive to expand and diversify. Keith holds various other insurance related directorships and in his spare time he is a keen follower of rugby and cricket.

NORTHERN SOLICITOR BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

Andrew has worked previously in the General Insurance industry for Direct Line Group, the Motoring Assistance industry for Green Flag, the Financial Services sector for CPP Group, the Legal Services industry for Minster Law Solicitors and prior to joining Acasta, the Legal Expenses sector for DAS LawAssist. Andrew has over 21 years of experience and knowledge across all of these different sectors. Outside of work, Andrew is a huge motor racing fan and enjoys going to the cinema as well as spending time with his young family.

BROKER BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

With an expansive background within insurance, first within a brokerage to a Claims Management company. Here she signed brokers up to schemes and set up one an outsourcing facility for FNOL of claims for their customers. Wealth of Sales & Marketing experience within affinity relationships sector, developing and maintaining schemes. Sandra is one of our key contacts for business development, delivering brand awareness and growth.Sandra enjoys watching football/rugby and fine dining to mucking out the family donkeys.

SOUTHERN SOLICITOR BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

Beginning his career in Lloyds of London as a Financial Lines broker David went on to work alongside the Institute of Insurance Brokers and Broker Direct Insurance, becoming Head of Product R&D. He went on to co-found an EPL underwriting agency, later joining Vision Risk Management, a specialist in EPL, ATE & H&S Liability. Moving to ATE specialist Straight Solutions as Co-Director, the company later merged with David joining Acasta. In his spare time David plays volley ball, has an interest in horticulture, and a passion for football.

Lynn has worked in business for over 23 years, for the majority in a senior management role responsible for my own department and staff working to deadlines and aggressive targets. Lynn works closely with the Board of Directors to generate new business and managing the strategy of ongoing businesses. Her experience and strengths are in managing the end to end process of a business operation to deliver targets. Lynn loves to drink her way through Europe, socialising with friends and spending time with her granddaughters.

SENIOR IN HOUSE SOLICITOR

Emily began in private practice, moving in-house to underwrite commercial litigation matters. Her main role at Acasta is to assess applications relating to a wide range of litigation for both funding and ATE insurance and works closely with solicitors to manage indemnified cases. Her background and experience in both private practice and in legal expenses means she is well placed to assist you and your clients in finding the best funding solution. Emily enjoys trying out new restaurants and recipes. She loves to travel and spends a lot of time planning her next holiday.
HANNAH AZIZ

IN-HOUSE SOLICITOR

Hannah began her career in private practice and has worked as a commercial litigation solicitor for over 3 years advising a variety of clients from PLCs, SMEs and private individuals. Her main role at Acasta is to assist Emily in assessing applications relating to a wide range of litigation for both funding and ATE insurance. She also works closely with solicitors to manage indemnified cases. Hannah has a diverse range of litigation experience and also has experience in regulatory law. In her spare time Hannah enjoys yoga, cooking and loves to travel.

UNDERWRITING MANAGER

Ian has 19 years’ experience within the General Insurance and Accident Management field. He has gained valuable experience in all aspects of Claims Management, including Fraud Prevention and Liability Disputes. He joined the Acasta team as Claims Manager, however wanted a challenge so moved in to his current role as Underwriting Manager where he has since gained experience within most sectors of the insurance market. Ian hails from Leeds, but has lived in Manchester for the last 20 years. He enjoys creative writing, socialising, travelling and sport.

David has 5 years’ experience working in personal lines brokering before moving to work for a large software house testing and distributing rates. He then moved into quality control and auditing. He has experience in the technical elements of insurance, and has worked closely with underwriters for several years. At Acasta David underwrites a range of NON-ATE products and Scheme based insurance solutions. Originally from Oxford David is an avid follower of sport, as a Manchester City fan, and enjoys Rugby Union and Cricket.

With a wealth of experience in the marketing and design industry, Dale has designed and managed company branding for key companies with content design, marketing campaigns and client engaging material. Within Acasta, Dale designs and manages marketing material with project management to maintain the Company image whilst expanding the Acasta brand in harmony with its growth. Dale is also a keen wildlife and landscape photographer with a particular fancy to the occasional cocktail.

Tina has over 13 years’ experience within the General Insurance and Accident Management field within the UK and Ireland which has enabled her to gain valuable experience in all aspects of BTE and ATE Insurance products and Claims Management. In addition to Tina’s experience in Claims Management she has a proven track record of delivering outstanding customer service to both clients and business partners. Tina enjoys life and loves to jet off to warmer climates but when on home ground she spends most of her free time with family and friends.

Emma has over 20 years Fee Earning and Auditing experience within Personal Injury and Credit Hire. As a mature student, Emma gained a Law Degree at Manchester Metropolitan University and completed the ILEX Graduate Diploma, including Civil Litigation. In her spare time Emma enjoys walking her dog, reading and spending time with her two sons.

Emma has had over 20 years’ experience in both the private and public accountancy sectors. Emma has been responsible for developing budget reports and producing management accounts in her previous roles. This experience and knowledge has enabled Emma to offer a full range of accountancy practices in the Acasta team. Emma moved to the North West from Pembrokeshire West Wales 16 years ago. Outside of work her interests are cooking and being welsh her love of rugby is never far from her heart.

Bonnie has worked in accounts for over 30 years within large and small companies assisting account managers, finance managers and maintaining financial records for companies. Her experience ranges from engineering companies, energy companies and insurance to liaise with clients, customers and to maintain credit control. Bonnie is a keen netball player for the last 24 years whilst also teaching Salsa for the last 20 years.

Jane has worked over ten years as an all-round accounts assistant covering both the sales and purchase ledger in the charity and commercial sectors. Prior to that she worked in the travel industry where she developed transferable administration and finance skills. Jane is looking forward to the learning and development undertaking in her new role of accounts assistant. She enjoys swimming, reading, listening to music and going out for meals.
